What is Frequency?

What is Frequency?

Why everything you already know is the place to start

Before we talk about Andaras. Before we talk about activation. Before any of it — there is a question underneath all of it that deserves a proper answer.

What is frequency, actually?

Not the word. Not the concept borrowed from physics and applied loosely to wellness. The real thing — what it is, where it comes from, and why it matters to you right now, in your body, in your life.

Because here is what I have come to understand after years in this work: most people who are drawn to frequency wellness already know more than they realise. They have felt it. They just haven’t had a language for what they were feeling.

This is that language. Built from the ground up. Honestly.

It starts with atoms — and that isn’t as boring as it sounds

Everything in the physical world is made of atoms. You. A tree. A rock. The air between your hands right now. All of it — atoms.

This is not the interesting part. What is interesting is what atoms do.

They are never still.

Every atom in every object — living or inanimate, warm or cold, moving or apparently at rest — is in constant, perpetual motion. Electrons moving. Bonds vibrating. Particles oscillating. Even a rock on a shelf. Even metal at rest. Nothing in the physical world is ever truly stationary, because nothing in the physical world is made of anything that can hold still.

This matters because of what that motion means.

Movement and energy are not two separate things. Movement is energy. When atoms move, that movement is energy expressing itself — there is no middle step where motion produces energy as a byproduct. They are the same thing described from two different angles.

Einstein confirmed this. E=mc² is not just a famous equation on a poster. It says something profound: matter and energy are not two different substances. They are different expressions of the same underlying reality. Matter is energy in a stable, organised form. Energy is matter in motion.

Everything is made of atoms. Atoms never stop moving. Movement is energy. Which means everything — including you — is energy in motion. Always.

Energy doesn’t stay put — it radiates

Energy in motion doesn’t stay neatly inside whatever is producing it. It radiates outward. In waves. And those waves have a measurable rate.

That rate is what we call frequency.

Frequency is measured in Hertz — Hz. One Hz means one complete wave cycle per second. The higher the Hz, the faster the wave. The lower the Hz, the slower it moves. This is a precise, measurable, scientific quantity. Not a belief. A measurement.

Frequency is not separate from energy — it is how energy expresses and communicates itself through the world. If energy is the activity, frequency is the language of that activity. The particular way it moves, radiates, and interacts with everything it meets.

You have been experiencing frequency your entire life

Here is where it stops being abstract.

Frequency doesn’t just exist in laboratories or equations. It is every experience you have ever had.

Sound is frequency. A voice, music, ocean waves, a singing bowl, thunder — all are waves of pressure moving through air at a measurable rate. The difference between a note that moves you and one that grates on your nerves is frequency.

Light is frequency. The colour of light is determined by its frequency. Red light vibrates at a lower rate than violet. This is not metaphor — it is measured physics. When you see colour, you are detecting frequency.

Heat is frequency. Warmth on your skin is infrared radiation — an electromagnetic wave your skin detects as heat. A campfire gives you sound, warmth, and light simultaneously. Three different expressions of frequency, from the same source, at the same moment.

Thought and emotion are frequency. The brain produces measurable electrical wave patterns — alpha waves associated with calm, clear awareness; beta waves associated with active thinking and stress; theta waves associated with deep relaxation and creativity; delta waves associated with sleep. These shift in real time depending on your inner state. They are measured in hospitals every day using EEG machines.

You have been responding to frequency — and producing it — your entire life. You just haven’t been calling it that.

Your body is an orchestra

Your body does not run on one frequency. It runs on many — produced by different biological systems, each with its own measurable signature.

The heart produces the strongest electromagnetic field in the body. Measurable several feet outside your skin. When you are calm and settled, the rhythm of that field is smooth and coherent — a wave pattern that researchers call heart rate variability coherence. Under sustained stress, that pattern becomes irregular and chaotic. The heart is producing a measurably different frequency. This is not a spiritual claim. It is documented in peer-reviewed research and visible on standard cardiac monitoring equipment.

The brain shifts between frequency states constantly. The nervous system fires electrical impulses through every part of you. Every cell maintains an electrical charge and pulses with its own activity.

Think of it as an orchestra. When every section is playing well and in harmony, what you produce is extraordinary. When the orchestra is disrupted — by stress, by the environment, by the relentless pace of modern life — the harmony suffers. The music is still there, but it has lost its coherence.

And the remarkable thing is: you feel it, even when you can’t name it. The persistent flatness. The depletion that sleep doesn’t fully fix. The sense of going through the motions without quite inhabiting your life. That is not a psychological problem in search of a psychological solution. It is an orchestra that has drifted out of tune.

Modern medicine already knows this

Before anyone dismisses frequency as fringe — consider what modern medicine does every day.

An ECG measures the heart’s electrical frequency to detect arrhythmias and damage. An EEG measures the brain’s wave frequencies to diagnose neurological conditions. An MRI uses powerful magnetic frequency fields to image the body’s soft tissue. Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to see inside the body.

Radiation therapy uses electromagnetic frequency to target cancer cells. Pacemakers use precisely timed electrical pulses to regulate the heart’s rhythm. TENS machines use electrical frequency to interrupt pain signals. Photobiomodulation uses specific light frequencies to accelerate tissue healing.

Modern medicine measures the body’s frequencies to understand what is happening. It uses external frequencies to change what is happening. The tools differ from those in frequency wellness. The underlying principle does not.

Frequency is not an alternative idea that mainstream science is yet to catch up with. It is the operating language of the body — and medicine has been working with it for decades.

What brings the orchestra back

You already know the answer. You have felt it.

Music that settles you almost immediately — even before you have consciously registered what is playing. The ocean, and how quickly something in you quietens when you stand at its edge. A forest, and the particular kind of presence it creates. A genuinely calm person who, without a word, changes the quality of the room they walk into.

None of these involve physical intervention. They work through frequency. The brain has a documented tendency to synchronise its own electrical patterns with external rhythms — a mechanism called entrainment. Introduce a coherent, stable frequency and the nervous system begins to follow it toward that stability.

This is not a new understanding. Cultures across the world arrived at it independently, long before science had words for the mechanism. Tibetan singing bowls. The Aboriginal didgeridoo used in healing ceremony. Ancient Greek temples designed for specific acoustics. Gregorian monks chanting at particular tonal frequencies as daily practice. Different traditions, different tools, the same observation: deliberately chosen frequency supports the body toward balance.

What this practice does is take what already happens naturally — and apply it with intention.

This is where Andaras come in

Andaras are not decorative. They are not simply beautiful to look at, though they are that too.

Each Andara carries its own frequency signature — formed through the extraordinary mineral composition that makes them unlike anything else found in the natural world. And unlike most other pieces, Andaras do not absorb the energy around them. They radiate it. Actively, continuously, outward — into the field of whatever and whoever is near them.

When an Andara is frequency activated, that natural capacity is deepened and given specific direction. A precise frequency — or multiple frequencies working together — is imprinted into the piece. And from that point, the Andara transmits that signature as part of its field. Continuously. Without being asked to. Without requiring anything of you except your proximity.

Understanding frequency is where the Andara story begins. Everything else — activation, the torus field, what each named activation does — follows from here.

The question underneath all of it was always this one. Now you have an answer.
